Thomas Boughey Nursery School follows the Admissions Process determined by Stoke-on-Trent Local Authority. Therefore this is deemed to be our Admissions Policy.

Admissions for pupils at the start of the academic year for places in Nursery and Reception are administered and allocated by Stoke-on-Trent Local Authority.

How to apply for a place at Thomas Boughey Nursery School

To apply for a nursery place for September 2017:

Although the online service has now closed you can still submit an application by completing an Nursery application form available from the school office or by downloading from:


Once completed return to the school office where you will be issued with a receipt.  Your application will be processed by the Stoke-on-Trent Local Authority Admissions team who will contact you with the outcome of your application.

If you child is currently attending a Stoke-on-Trent school there is a requirement that section 5 of the form is completed by your child’s current school before the form can be submitted.  Once completed return the form to the school office where your application will be sent to the local authority admissions team.

Admissions for pupils during the academic year are jointly administered by the school and Stoke-on-Trent Local Authority.
